Abstracts: Abstract Interior design is not just about decoration. It is concerned with creating functional and beautiful to look at interior spaces in all sorts of places including houses, public buildings and commercial properties such as shops, restaurants, educational institutes and offices. Good interior design will not only make a space look and function better, it can have a significant impact on mood and wellbeing. The application of uplifting colour schemes, well-designed furnishings and the thoughtful manipulation of light and space can all make a real difference to how we feel about and in an environment. In this project we will develop interior space of Mechanical department at GEC Valsad. In part-1, we will review and search the needs of institute to function better, and visiting premiere institutes for better understanding concept of interiors. And in part-2, developing interiors focusing on every tiny thing like floor space, colour, orientation of benches and desk, furniture, lightning, teachings aids, use of natural resource, and providing best work space for students and teachers. Developing a modern concept of engineering lab for better interaction of teachers and students. The purpose is to improve educational values through technical approach supporting comfort levels of both faculties and students.
