Abstracts: In this project an overall design data to standardize the dimension of the submersible pump has been collected. Various dimensions of the main components have been derived. Using tolerance loops and various Tolerance Analysis Methods, We have to do Tolerance analysis for five stage pump and also for ā€˜nā€™ stage pump. Tolerance analysis is conducted on the pump sub-assembly to identify the causes of variation of coupling length. It has been found that there are n possible tolerance loops in an n stage pump. It results in unreasonably longer assembly time. The concept of selective assembly is suggested in this paper to overcome the problem of coupling length variation.
