Abstracts: Transportation is considered as the LIFELINE of a nation. Transportation does play a vital role in multidimensional development of a country. In recent decade Infrastructure development means, priority to transportation projects for safe, comfortable, convenient and economical movement of people and goods. Efficient transportation can give social, cultural, economical, industrial, educational as well as commercial development. This project is concerned with the study of the traffic and the related problems at the Abrama over-bridge (located in Valsad district of Gujarat) and its vicinity. On behalf of the traffic survey in preliminary stage and the inspection of the over-bridge, many problems that are faced by the road-users in day to day life can be sought out easily. It is concluded that the over-bridge roads are essentially needed to be widened and the problems like inadequate provision of street lightings, damaged railing, improper road alignment, inconveniency to the road users due to poor road conditions and heavy traffic are also needed to be solved by re-planning and redesigning of the concerned over-bridge.
