Abstracts: India became independent on 15 August 1947. Though, after independence achieved tremendous success in many fields but still much is needs to be done in order to become developed nation. Statistics betrays that after independence our growth rate has increased from 3% to 9%. Energy is driving wheel of the country. But still we are facing problems like demand of energy and water. Green Buildings consist of different kinds of material and equipment. The project work will be carried out on GEC VALSAD buildings. In the part- I we will carry out study of existing planning, design and orientation of buildings. These are green index, daily energy-saving index, water resources index, biodiversity index, CO2 reduction index, waste reduction and base water index, sewage and trash improvement index and interior index. In the part- II we will prepare planning and materials adopted . Use recycled and local materials and recycling construction waste. Reduce the material consumption of green building to compare the conventional building around 25 – 40 %.
