Abstracts: Asian Paints is manufacturing various paints, water based, oil based and solvent based. All these paints are commercially important and therefore the details of plant are not allowed to let out. There are no severe effluent problems also. Therefore in order to reduce the cost of manufacturing and to solve the problems of sludge disposal of reduction industry we propose to explore the suitability of red iron oxide obtained from the waste sludge as a raw material for pigment at Asian Paints.
