Abstracts: H2SO4 is produced by two process: Contact process Chamber process Both processes are based on SO2. Chamber process was developed first but produced acid of concentration less than 80 %. Contact process yield 98 % H2SO4 and higher which can be diluted, if necessary. The process used in AARTI INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD is Double Contact Double Absorption (DCDA). In this process the product gases (SO2) & (SO3) are passed through absorption tower twice to achieve further absorption and conversion of SO2 to SO3 production of higher grade Sulphuric acid.
