Abstracts: A fixture is a critical device in manufacturing. It provides guidance for tooling and keeps the Work piece in desired position and orientation. We are basically going to design a fixture for a boiler of maximum 2.5 tones in weight. The reason behind undertaking of such design fixture is the extreme importance of welding in a pressure vessel (in our case it is boiler). So we intend to develop a solution in order to enable a defect free welding in order to avoid and stop the problem of joint quality, corrosion and safety of equipment. So welding has to be done in vertical position ( which is the best position for welding) or 5F position in horizontal boilers , so we have thought of designing a Fixture.
