Abstracts: Through communication with the engineer, operator and worker, it is found that, every time; it is troublesome to replace the tool in “Edge Rounding Machine”, when needed. Tool is to be replaced by skilled operator only, the worker finds it difficult. The setting time for this is up to 25 minutes. Automatic Edge Rounding Machine is also available in the market, but its price is about 10 times the price of existing Edge Rounding Machine, so a suggestion to make modification in the existing machine and make manual tool changer that will reduce the set-up time of edge rounding machine was given by the industrial mentor. Reducing the set-up time will increase the production and effectively it will increase the profit range of the company. Looking to these situations, it is decided to make an attachment for Edge Rounding Machine and reduce the setting time to increase the productivity ratio.
