Carbon Nanospheres(CNS) of average diameter 300-500nm were produced using CVD method. Acid treatment with varying acid ratios was done and subsequently treated with Ruthenium chloride to produce Ru-loaded CNS.The catalytical properties of the as-synthesied Ru-loaded CNS was studied for the industrially important reaction of styrene epoxidation.The reaction time, solvent, reaction temperature and the oxidant were varied.
