Abstracts: Traffic congestion is the major problem now days due to the urbanization. Traffic studies are an important constituent of road research and the consideration of the effects of movements of all vehicles are necessary in planning the road facilities. Due to traffic accident rates are increasing and also affect the overall economy. Traffic control is necessary for easy traffic flow and to reduce the travel time. Our project based on mixed traffic behavior and control. In this project we will conduct and study the traffic behavior of MAKKAM CHOWK, RUPKALACHOWK AND NAGARIK BANKCHOWK at Rajkot city. After studying the behavior of traffic we will designtraffic signal system for control of traffic and suggestions to decrease the traffic congestion.
