Abstracts: Basic principle of heat exchanger is that heat naturally flows from higher temperature to lower temperature. By using that principle we are going to design heat exchanger system for swimming pool to maintain constant temperature of pool. Two fluids, of different starting temperatures, flow through the heat exchanger. One flows through the tubes (the tube side) and the other flows outside the tubes but inside the shell (the shell side). Heat is transferred from one fluid to the other through the tube walls, either from tube side to shell side or vice versa. We have designed a shell and tube heat exchanger which is used in most of application due to its effectiveness and easy construction. For that we have considered and studied a complete system of swimming pool. Our expected outcome is to decide most suitable and economical heat exchanger with high accuracy, high efficiency and maximum energy utilization to maintain constant temperature. Here by using Kern’s method, designing of shell & tube heat exchanger for experimental purpose is done with the assumption of tube diameter, tube length, and mass flow rate of water. We have completed our project at Redren Energy Pvt. Ltd. Company manufacturing various types of solar heating system and we design heat exchanger for maintaining temperature of swimming pool in winter condition.
