Abstracts: The economic success of most firms depends on their ability to identify the needs of customers and to quickly create products that meet these needs and can manufacture them at low cost.In mechanical engineering, a product acts as a vehicle which helps in providing required benefits to its users. The design function plays the lead role in defining the physical form of the product to best meet customer needs. The product designer’s role is to combine art, science and technology to create new products that other people can use. For many years people have been using luggage, wheeled luggages are now heavily promoted for all types of travel. The wheeled luggage arrangement has a drawback of climbing up to stairs. There by the objective of this project is to design and test a consumer-grade luggage bag capable of climbing stairs. Several concept designs and models were convinced using CAD software. One concept among them was selected using concept scoring matrix. The simulation of the selected concept is carried out using cad software and the prototype is developed. .
