Abstracts: Casting is one of the most important process of manufacturing. Any shape and any type of elements can be manufactured by different types of casting process and among them sand casting process is most famous. It is simple and economical process. In this project the main problems are blow holes and shrinkage. The blow holes in casting makes it difficult to machine the component, due to which there are chances of breakage of various cutting tools used for machining. We had to take some components having such problem. We are trying to remove the above mentioned problem by material analysis, chemical testing, and casting flow simulation and different designing the pattern for achieving defect free product.
