Abstracts: The use of liquid ring vacuum pump in Industries has a wide way. They are used in many industries such as Paper Industry, Sugar industry and many more. The pump is generally run by the power that is being transferred from the motor to the pump by means of pulley and belt drive. And talking about the problems that generally occurs in this pumps are, leakage of vacuum from the pump and breaking of its shaft. Our project is based in the alternatives that can be made to protect and eliminate the problem of this pumps. What struck to our mind was “How we can reduce this defects?” This can be done either by changing the material or by re-designing the shaft. So with the help of our guides we took the step towards the solution of the problem and so will try to resolve it at the maximum possible extent. The compression is performed by a ring of liquid formed as a result of the relative eccentricity between pump casing and a rotating multi blade impeller. The casing is partly filled by liquid. The filling and emptying action creates a piston action with in each set of rotor impeller blades.
