Abstracts: Our concern in the company was to study on Design & development of SPIRAL WELDING Attachment for welding screw conveyor`s flight with pipe shaft and using it as an attachment on conventional Lathe bed. At present the method use for welding the job is done manually. Job is given manual rotation and welding is done spirally. As a result company would always have to spend and reserve particular time and worker & welding is not continuous and uniform. Taking this problem as our I.D.P, a solution for this problem which is based on reducing job welding time by using Time Study, Work study and Designing an Automatic SPIRAL WELDING Attachment. In a new solution that recommend would provide a SPIRAL WELDING Attachment as an attachment on conventional Lathe bed. The headstock and tool post are operated by individual Motors. The linear motion of the tool post is dependent on following parameters such as R.P.M of Headstock, Pitch of Screw conveyor and diameter of Shaft. Tool post will carry a Welding arrangement and it will travel along tool post throughout the length of shaft. The design would be based on Creo or Solid Works. This machine is operated automatically using computer program. Analysis of program will be carried out by MECH3.
