Abstracts: Pruning process is generally carried out for better growth by cutting the stem, branches , leaves, etc of Trees and commercial plants. Till the date the manual the pruning was carried by the numerous labours by climbing and manually cutting the required branches of the trees with the help of secateurs, pruning saw, tree pruning, and chain saw. This is very risky, tiresome and the time consuming process. On the other hand, some machines were developed but are expensive and required a permanent vehicle for it. Thus, we had developed the tractor attachment which can be engaged and disengaged from the tractor so, tractor can also be used for different agricultural operations. The attachment can be used with the 38hp’s tractor or above. Engine shaft of the tractor will to extract the required power for the pruning action. The power transmission is done by hydraulic drives. Flexible linkage design will allow us for hedging as well as topping of the mango trees. Hedging operation can be carried up from ground level to 23-25 feet and topping operation can be done till 20 feet. Thus, drastic reduction in required time for pruning as well as health, productivity, and aesthetic look will increase considerably.
