Abstracts: The ultimate objective of automobile workshop today is to perform various operation in safe and efficient manner. Various operations are performed in automobile workshop on vehicle maintenance. Our project is related to one of car maintenance operation, suspension spring overhauling. The project is about developing a device/tool named multi nut opener which can be used in safely overhauling of suspension spring. In this our project, we are going to design this tool on the basis of spring specification and clamp dimension. The modelling of the tool is done in design software Creo 2.0 with part modelling, assembly, animation and mechanism applications. The different parts of the tool like gear, pinion, gear shaft, supporting plates and clamps are extruded in Creo 2.0 and are machined. This tool will be helpful to turn out two nut of the clamp evenly at a time to avoid spring out of any clamp. These parts are assembled and working tool is prepared.
