Abstracts: ‘‘The quality of ready to dispatch product by reducing material without operation mixed up material and operation missing in gear manufacturing process.” The purpose of this project is to reduce rework and rejection in gear manufacturing process, by using quality tools and six sigma. We are working on Intermediate Shaft Z-26, for manufacturing process. In this above operations we are working to improve quality and reducing rework and rejection operation wise. It is proposed to focus on reduce rework and rejection rate. In this project applies six sigma to optimize the keyway handling operation on a shaft.to solve the problem and optimize the process, DMAIC (define, measure, analysis, improve, control) of six sigma was applied.
