Abstracts: Plate fin heat exchanger is a type of compact heat exchanger that consist of a slack of alternate flat plates called parting sheets and corrugated fin, both being brazed together as a block. Streams exchange heat by flowing along the passages made by the fins between the parting sheets. Separating plates act as a primary heat transfer surface and the appendages known as fins act as a secondary heat transfer surfaces intimately bounded to a primary surface. Aluminium is the most commonly used material and stainless steel employed in high pressure and high temperature applications. This project focuses on the design and analysis of plate fin heat exchanger with offset striping. First by making the design of heat exchanger and then programming it and also the analysis is done based on that.
