Abstracts: Recent multi-storey RC buildings would have more complicated structural behaviour than before. So, in recent times shear walls and shear core are the most appropriate structural forms. Shear wall systems are generally used lateral load resisting systems in high-rise buildings. In our Study, efforts will be made to justify the location of RC shear wall and to evaluate the performance of the building using software STAAD PRO.
