Abstracts: The new millennium and the coming decades are a crucial time for relationship between travel and tourist and sustainable development. The need to preserve the world’s inherent assets for future generations is becoming an imperative goal not only travel and tourism, but also for all other industries that use the earth’s natural resources. The Travel and Tourism industry is still one of the largest single businesses in world commerce and its importance is widely recognized. Tourism industry is now one of the largest sectors earning foreign exchange. It creates jobs and contributes 10% Gross Domestic Products (GDP) as well as brings in capital investment and exports. The non-tourist countries like Malaysia and Indonesia get much more tourists than India. The number of foreign tourist arrival in India is very less, which is directly affecting economy. The tourism industry as whole is presently estimated to earn over US$3.5 trillion worldwide. India share of the total market is pittance at 0.51%. In Gujarat number of foreign tourist arrival is 0.01% which is very less. Particularly our concern is on providing Tourism Scenario of Gujarat and Future Planning.
