Abstracts: Increasing population together with growing social and commercial activities with limited land available is one of the major problems seen in India, which has resulted in increase in construction of tall tower with plaza building. ADINA, SAP,SUPER-SAP,ANSYS,TBSA, SAP84 etc. are widely used for design and analysis of plaza building by designers and researchers. In this study work we would analyze and compare results of plaza building using ‘SAP2000’ and ‘STAAD Pro’ with conventional methods. The principle objective of this project is to analyze and design a multi-storeyed building using both STAAD Pro and SAP2000. The design involves load calculations manually and analyzing the whole structure by both STAAD Pro and SAP2000 . Complicated and high-rise structures need very time taking and cumbersome calculations using conventional manual methods. STAAD.Pro and SAP2000 provides us a fast, efficient, easy to use and accurate platform for analysing and designing structures.
