Abstracts: Today’s system includes Barcode reading, Magnetic strip reader, RFID, Fingerprint reader, face reader etc. But all these system has a common problem of high cost and also other problems including coding, re-usability of tag etc. This system is to overcome all these problems. Attendance systems used today are costlier, which are not affordable for all kind of industries. so, this project is to solve this problem and give a cost effective attendance system. Cost effective system is a simple controller based attendance system that specially developed for small and medium organizations. The controller application can manage the recordings, controlling and monitoring of person’s absences. The purpose is to make sure that the staff/students are regular and do their jobs and studies on time. Currently there is no proper system to monitor the staffs/students’ attendance at organization. Besides the organization still use the paper base system to store the records of staff/students with the implementation of the system, paper based system will be eliminated. This system can save time and minimize manpower for manual management. The administrators can easily trace the attendance of the staff/students compare to manual paper recording and file keeping system. This system is also help to reduce material cost such as papers, files and stationary. The system can be used by the systems’ administrator such as supervisor and staff/students of the organization. This system will provide a user-friendly interface to make the system to use.
