Abstracts: The Merit Calculation and Registration system is created in order to provide the users a way to register themselves and efforts are being made to make it more user friendly The Merit Calculation and Registration system is currently being made for the students of the Gujarat who have completed their 12th science and are registering with the admission committee for further studies in the various undergraduate courses. The system helps a user to calculate his/her merit marks and also register's them automatically for the admission process. A merit list is prepared with the help of registered entries for the admission process in their respective fields, according to their area of interest. The merit calculation and registration system is just an additional feature to the current registration system that has been functioning great since the past few years. Once the user has entered all the details required for merit marks calculation, he/she is then taken to the registration page for the rest of the details. The user has to fill-in the details and check all the details and submit them. These registered entries are then stored in the database for further use. A tentative merit list is created on the basis of such registered entries every day as per insertion, updating and deletion of the details by the user. Efforts are being made to create a new kind of system that will be helpful to the students. The merit calculation and registration system is thus an easy way for the students to get some additional time on the basis of analytical data to make a correct decision while selecting their career.
