Abstracts: “An android platform to take attendance of the students in colleges or schools using android smart phone” We are developing a project that will help lectures to take attendance easily, securely and with less error. For this, we are implementing an application “Smart Attendance System” based on android technology. This application will help lectures to take attendance using smart phone. Lectures will have to log in to the application, get connected to the server and take attendance using smart phone. After taking attendance lectures will have to submit this to the server using GPRS and attendance list will update automatically. Students will be able to view their attendance through this application as well as other details. Thus, the project will ease the workload of lectures by providing them the platform like this. Also the students will remain updated and see their attendance with efficiency.
