Abstracts: • Weight and torque transmission to the drill bit was studied in previous Project .Now in this project lubrication &,maintenance & cooling system is studied to reduce the power losses .This study is based on bottom and surface measurements carried out on various while IPS-5-KB700(CARD WELL-5 ) drilling rig. • Data interpretation using conventional post-analysis methods shows weight is well transmitted to the drill bit in rotary drilling. • As far as torque transmission is concerned, data on the action of drilling parameters, transmission path from carrrir,well path,penetrated formations and drilling events help better differentiate mechanical effects from formation effects.
