Introduction:
Existing System:
A Traditional Bus System has a fixed route
The route will remain the same even if there are no passengers on Bus Stop.
Proposed System:
The System replace the Traditional Bus Systems with its flexibility and efficiency.
The scheduled bus lines systems and buses can dynamically change their routes according to passenger’s demands.
Passengers are informed about the real time location of the buses which makes it easy for the passengers to decide whether to ride a particular bus or not making this system passenger friendly.
MICROCONTROLLER (LPC2148)
ROM 512KB
RAM 32KB
IO PORTS 2(P0,P1)
Timers 2(32 bit)
Serial comm. 2UART, 2I2C, 1 SSP, 1 SPI
USB RAM 2KB
Introduction to RFID
RFID is an acronym for Radio Frequency Identification. In general terms, RFID is a means of identifying a person or object using a radio frequency transmission.
In other words RFID is an electronic method of exchanging data over radio frequency waves.
The technology can be used to identify, track, sort or detect a wide variety of objects.
There are three major components to a RFID system:
Transponder (Tag),
Antenna and a
Controller. Communication takes place between a Reader and a Transponder often called a Tag
GLOBAL POSITION SYSTEM
Global Positioning System (GPS) technology is changing the way we work and play. You can use GPS technology when you are driving, flying, fishing, sailing, hiking, running, biking, working, or exploring.
GPS technology requires the following three segments.
Space segment.
Control segment.
User segment
ADVANTAGES AND APPLICATIONSÂ
The Flexible Bus System is designed to make passengers comfortable while travelling through Buses.
Even if the passengers are not aware of the exact location of their destination or exact Bus Stop No. the system can guide them to find their destination place.
The Flexible Bus System is automated which makes it fast and efficient. Passenger inputs are responded instantly which makes this system very smart.
Passenger interaction with the System starts when passenger arrives at the Bus Stops, so intelligent Bus Stops are the central part of this System.
