M.Tech Project Title: “Parametric study of stress and fatigue analysis of aircraft attachment lug subjected to cyclic loads”
Team Size : One
Duration : 6 months

Description: Finite element method is utilized to determine the stress state under operating condition. Development of Material Science cause new concepts in structural design, material selection, production technique and load spectra may lead to fatigue damage problems are increased significantly. So prediction and analysis of fatigue life is much more important. Maximum tensile stress will cause fatigue crack in that location hence fatigue analysis for variable loading condition using constant S-N amplitude for different stress cycles. CATIA VS5 is used for modeling, MSC/PATRAN used as preprocessor for meshing, MSC/NASTRAN as solver.
Contribution:
To design of a wing fuselage connector lug attachment against fatigue failure.
Linear static stress analysis of the wing fuselage lug attachment bracket.
Calculation of the fatigue life to crack initiation in the wing fuselage connector lug attachment
