ABSTRACT:
LOCATION REPORTING SYSTEM is a concept developed from LPS, which is not a global phenomenon but is limited to a respective area or a country. Location Reporting System is a device which is to detect or report a location of a person or a thing which is either stationary or in motion.Location reporting System hardware part consists of advanced technologies like RASPBERRY Pi 2b model, which is a credit card sized micro-computer which is interfaced to a GSM module. The raspberry pi is fed with data containing the LAC, CID, MCC and MNC codes, which in-turn return the Latitude and Longitude value of the user which can be pinpointed on a digital map and sent to the user as a text message.
MISSION:
To reduce the time gap of the passengers and the transportation medium with the help of the position reporting system without compromising the privacy of the user.
VISION:
To develop an application that is accessible over various platforms and cannot be tracked by others rather than the user.
