I want to make a road windmill project,but i dizziness to this project..I don't know this project very well..How it's function for highway?please somebody give me some idea
Wind turbine project plans and details of the Invenergy proposal

BELWOOD - Invenergy Wind Canada proposes to develop a wind farm with between 25 and 35 turbines around this community.

The site for the turbines is about five kilometers northwest of Belwood, an area that falls within the municipalities of Wellington Center and East Garafraxa in Wellington and Dufferin counties. Based on the regulations of Renewable Energy Approvals (REA), the project would be a Class 4 wind installation.

Invenergy intends to obtain a contract for the sale of electricity from wind power with the Ontario Power Authority. The project will require approval under the OER.

The process replaces the prerequisites for several separate approvals under (among others) the Environmental Assessment Act, the Planning Act, and the Environmental Protection Act.

Invenergy officials stated that the site was selected considering the results of the assessment of wind resources, ease of access to the local power system, environmental constraints and support from local landowners. All project components, including turbines, power lines and substations, will be located in private land or municipal rights of way.

Invenergy currently has land lease options for the properties in which the project components would be located. Project boundaries include Sideroads 15 to Sideroad 25, along Wellington County Highway 16. From there, the project boundary extends northeast along the West Garafraxa and East Luther Grand Valley Road to the 10th line at East Garafraxa.

From there, the boundary extends southeast to Sideroad 10 in the east of Garafraxa, and to the west to the border line of Garafraxa. Another, smaller package, runs southeast of Sideroad 10 in East Garafraxa to Dufferin County Road 3, just below Marsville.

Components of the project

The basic components of the project include wind turbines, electrical distribution equipment and other ancillary facilities. The main components of the project are:

• wind turbines;

• 690V / 34.5 kV transformers (located at the base of each turbine);

• 34.5 kV collection system to connect the wind turbines to the substation. Those lines are expected to be primarily underground in private land and airlines along the rights of way of the municipal highway;

• Substation (increase electrical power from 34.5 kV to 230 kV);

• a switching station at the point of connection with the provincial network;

• access roads to turbines;

• a meteorological tower (which is already installed and in operation);

• staging areas for the assembly of wind turbines, only during construction; Y

• a temporary plant of concrete lots (necessary only if the concrete can not be obtained through local suppliers).

Wind turbines consist of the support tower, tower foundation, rotor blades and gearbox and electric generator housing. Although the final selection of the model is still uncertain, company officials said GE 1.5xle or GE 2.5xl turbines are expected to be used.Each tower will have approximately 80 to 100 m of height and the length of the rotor blades of 40 to 50 meters. The total height of the tip will be up to 150m. The ground base required for each turbine, excluding the access road, is 0.25 acres of excavation, 0.15 acres of maintenance cleaning) once in operation.The exact location of the turbines is being confirmed and is subject to change based on comments from government agencies, Aboriginal communities, the public and landowners.
The design of the turbine takes into account the following factors:

• results of wind profile studies and anemometer data;

• access to the site;

• existing land uses;

• environmental and socio-economic information (such as protection of the Rio Grande Conservation, regulated buffers, presence of wild habitat, vegetation communities, location of historical resources);

• the results of sound evaluation;

• economics of interconnection; Y

• REA retrogression requirements.
