ABSTRACT
The automatic telephone answering machine is designed in this project. The machine is capable of automatically answering the call and playing a pre-recorded message to the caller. It can also record a message that the caller wants to leave. The systems such as the message recording system, message playback, automatic dialing, automatic data entry-answering systems, alarm entry and recieve systems etc. The peripherals and the components of the system are controlled by the controller. LCD or LED
display, an indicator light are among the ones controlled by the microcontroller. a DTMF receiver and an audio controller handles the audio functions. The major advantage of the machine is that it is possible to remotely activate the machine.
The functions performed include:
-selection of automatic or manual mode of operation
-When in automatic mode, receiving the calls automatically
-record the message and play it for the caller and also record his message for the called person
-microcontroller must deliver the control signal corresponding to the selected mode of operation.
