ABSTRACT
This project deals with the design of an automatic control of a distant automobile through over WIRELESS communication. The WIRELESS communication is meant for short distances of about less than 100 meter. We have designed the protocol and we are not following the protocol. The project confines itself in the control of the direction and the acceleration of the dc motor in order to implement the robotic based surveillance system. The ultimate aim of this project is focused towards the unmanned ground vehicle, which may be extended in future for a long distance communications from planet to planet. The protocol has been designed on our own and the total operation of the vehicle has been controlled from the school zone and hospital zone. School zones are areas near schools that have lower speed limits and where illegally parked vehicles pose a threat to school children by obstructing them from the view of drivers. However, these laws are regularly flouted. Thus, we propose a novel wireless sensor network application called School zone Safety System (S3) to help regulate the speed limit and to prevent illegal parking in school zones. S3 detects illegally parked vehicles, and warns the driver and records the license plate number. To reduce the traveling speed of vehicles in a school zone, S3 measures the speed of vehicles and displays the speed to the driver via an LED display, and also captures the image of the speeding vehicle with a speed camera. We developed a state machine based vehicle detection algorithm for S3. From extensive experiments in our testbeds and data from a real school zone, it is shown that the system can detect all kinds of vehicles, and has an accuracy of over 95% for speed measurement.
INTRODUCTION
The equipment performs well for the commands which are actually sent from a school zone & hospital zone . The cameras (RF based ) can be fixed at the front panel of the vehicle so that during the forward straight movement or any other movement of the vehicle, we can monitor the events online on a television receiver. All other movements are performing good. The wires for the supply of motors is actually derived from the battery source in case if the current is not sufficient we can even derive it from the mains source, It is clear and sure that this equipment will definitely satisfy all the future development we propose in this project. The total distance it responds for a distance of about 100 meters. Any how by changing the frequency and power level of transmission (at present it about 100mw) we can increase the distance to few kilometers.
