Estimatin of A Pole mounted substation
Estimating is defined as a method by which we can get an approximation of the material, investment involved, and the time to be taken for the completion of Electrification project
Normally it can be enlisted under following four headings.
-Estimating the quantity of the material and the cost involved.
-Analysis of cost or selling price.
-Maintaining proper accounts.
-Provision of selling aids.
SUBSTATION
Substations are serves as a source of energy supply for the local area of distribution.
Their main functions are to receive energy transmitted at high voltage from the generating stations, reduce the voltage to a value appropriate for distribution and provide facilities for switching.
CLASSIFICATION OF SUBSTATION
1) Indoor type.
In such substation the apparatus is installed within the substation building.
The equipment on primary side may be T.P.M.O. circuit breakers, H.T fuse
The equipment on secondary side may be distribution switch board .
2) Outdoor type
pole mounted substations.
Plinth mounted substation.
Estimating of substation plays an important role in distribution of electrical energy, because substation is the heart of distribution system of electrical energy. So we have to consider both all points before estimating of a substation. Generally we should estimate in such a way that the cost involved should be low and further addition of new parts can be easily done for the fulfillment of rise in power demand.
