LAN MESSENGER

The Lan Messenger application, by which users can chat and send files to each other on a local area net work. The application is developed in java using Net beans IDE. The application consists of two parts, a client and a server. Each user will be identified by a username.

RAM Capacity : 512 MB
Hard disk : 40GB
Monitor : 15’’SVGA
Software Requirements
Operating System : Windows

Existing System
The existing system like yahoo messenger or Google talk, can not provide function when network is isolated from internet. Proposed System
Lan messenger provide the same use as that of the online instant messengers like yahoo messenger or Google talk, but the advantage is that, it can function even when the network is isolated from the internet.
