Media Content Searching and Bookmarking

Introduction
The first section sets the tone for the rest of the document by giving a brief introduction to the project, its scope and the purpose for which this document was written. The overall description gives a more detailed depiction of the project; where it came from and its context. It will also address the features of the software, both physical and technical, in which the software is expected to function. The third section will focus on the functional requirements of this system and the services it provides to users. The external interface requirements will look at the different interfaces involved in the system such as user interfaces, hardware interfaces, software interfaces and communication interfaces. The final section will take a look at the systems nonfunctional requirements such as speed of the system and the estimated size of the system.
PROBLEM DEFINITION
There is a media player which plays both audio and video files of different types. The media player supports play, pause, rewind, fast forward, stop etc. functions. This media player is accompanied with two important features namely media bookmarking and content search in media.

Project scope
The aim of this project is to establish software which provides a novel way to retrieve and navigate video which places emphasis on content-based within-video navigation. This project aims to simplify within-video navigation. Although the emphasis is on the content-based within-video navigation, bookmarking System seeks to equally act a media playing software system with an innovative and intuitive interface design.
User Classes and Characteristics
The target users for our software are ordinary computer users who use audio and video media files. It is assumed that the target group does not have to be familiar with the use of any software of similar functionality, but to have a basic computer skills that will enable them to use this Software. All users will be provided with the following component
Environmental needs
The following elements are required to support the overall testing effort at all levels within the reassigned sales project:
A. the Microsoft Speech SDK 5.1 must be installed on the system.
B. The system must have Windows Operating System.
C. Microphone should be used with the system
Staffing and training needs
The developers will themselves be the tester in this project.
In order to provide complete and proper testing the following areas need to be addressed in terms of training.
A. The developer(s) will need to be trained on the basic operations of the project.
B. At least one person other than developer needs to be trained on the installation and control of the System.
