TECHNICAL DETAILS

Microcontroller is a programmable single chip integrated circuit.it follows instructions, reads information, store information, communicates etc. In this work, we have interfaced design circuit with microcontroller. Here we propose a purely digital method for measuring inductance.


PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The impedance to be measure is connected in series with a standard resistance and a series circuit is excited by a sinusoidal voltage at the required test frequency.
The resulting phasor diagram of the voltages across the element is shown in fig 2 here Vs represent the voltage across the source Vr represent the voltage across resistor and Vz across the Z.


INNOVATIVENESS

Electronics method of inductance measurement are based on different principal. They include bridge method, vector impedance method, resonance method, digital RLC method, voltage and current method . all of these method have some advantages also suffers from some drawbacks. The most precise are bridge method but the construction and measurement by such instruments are complicated.


USEFULLNESS

• The high frequency impedence meter can be used for measurement of both active and passive devices and circuit.
• The low frequency meter may be used to make measurement in circuit with DC present.
• The result of the work presented in a paper titled “digital impedance bridge based on a two phase generator” Digital impedance bridge composed of two digital sine wave generator and inductive voltage divider designed for precision comparison of diff. Standard .
