INCREDIBLE INDIA MASHUP ON ANDROID

This project aims to build this information system in a Mobile phone using the latest technology in the market namely Google Android SDK . ’INCREDIBLE INDIA MASHUP ON ANDROID’ is done by dividing India into 4 zones North, West, East, and South India mashed up with a Google map of India. Important tourist attraction places at each of these zones are given.Apart from knowing where the place is located using the Google map, the tourist also knows information on those places, travel details(railways, roadways and airways),places to stay(hotels),prominent eateries(restaurants) and shopping details at those places all at one place. This is made possible by ‘mashing up’ of information from several sources.
Problem Definition
To create an application through which user can access all the info regarding his desired directions. This application should be designed as a mobile app. Application being integrate with images and videos of all the places in every direction.
Scope of the Project
The scope of the incredible India mashup is as follows:
• To develop a user interface which provides the user the ability to select the required tourist place among North, West, East and South India.
• Know the history and significance of the tourist place
• View and select travel details to the tourist using all 3 ways.
• Select his choice of stay, eateries based on various ratings and parameters
• Know prominent shopping locations pertaining to that place
Limitations of project
• Google android mobile is required
• Internet connection is also required for the route map
• The overall India is divided into four major parts north, south, east, west
