GSM BASED ADVANCED SECURITY SYSTEM
[attachment=21952]
ABSTRACT
In every system it is automated in order to face new challenges in the present day situation. Automated systems have less manual operations, so that the flexibility, reliabilities are high and accurate. Hence every field prefers automated control systems. Especially in the field of electronics automated systems are doing better performance.
Probably the most useful thing to know about the global system for mobile communication is that it is an international standard. If you travel in parts of world, GSM is only type of cellular service available. Instead of analog services, GSM was developed as a digital system using TDMA technology.
The goal of the project is to develop a system, which uses Mobile technology that keeps control of the various units of the automobiles, which executes with respect to the signal sent by the mobile.
For utilization of appliances the new concept has been thought to manage them remotely by using GSM MODEM, which enables the user to remotely control switching of domestic appliances. Just by dialing keypad, from where you are calling you can perform ON / OFF operation of the devices.
The ranges of appliances that can be controlled through tele-remote systems are many in numbers. Some of them are as follows and this depends upon the usage priority of the appliances i.e. parking Lights, Music System or other electrical / electronic appliances.
1.3 DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
The goal of the project is to develop a system, which uses Mobile technology that keeps control of the various units of the automobiles, which executes with respect to the signal sent by the mobile. Here we are using GMS modem interfaced with microcontroller.GSM is the only digital system using TDMA technology.It has international standards and is accepted worldwide.
Here GSM modem is used by the user to remotely control the switching of domestic appliances. Just by dialing keypad, from where you are calling you can perform ON / OFF operation of the devices.this helps in reduce manpower in industries.flexibility and reliabilities are high and accurate.So automated systems are doing better performance.

2.2 AT89S52
2.1.1 A BRIEF HISTORY OF 8051

In 1981, Intel Corporation introduced an 8 bit microcontroller called 8051. This microcontroller had 128 bytes of RAM, 4K bytes of chip ROM, two timers, one serial port, and four ports all on a single chip. At the time it was also referred as “A SYSTEM ON A CHIP”
AT89S52:
The AT89S52 is a low-power, high-performance CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with 8K bytes of in-system programmable Flash memory. The device is manufactured using Atmel’s high-density nonvolatile memory technology and is compatible with the industry-standard 80C51 instruction set and pinout. The on-chip Flash allows the program memory to be reprogrammed in-system or by a conventional nonvolatile memory pro-grammer. By combining a versatile 8-bit CPU with in-system programmable Flash on a monolithic chip, the Atmel AT89S52 is a powerful microcontroller, which provides a highly flexible and cost-effective solution to many, embedded control applications. The AT89S52 provides the following standard features: 8K bytes of Flash, 256 bytes of RAM, 32 I/O lines, Watchdog timer, two data pointers, three 16-bit timer/counters, a six-vector two-level interrupt architecture, a full duplex serial port, on-chip oscillator, and clock circuitry. In addition, the AT89S52 is designed with static logic for operation down to zero frequency and supports two software selectable power saving modes. The Idle Mode stops the CPU while allowing the RAM, timer/counters, serial port, and interrupt system to continue functioning. The Power-down mode saves the RAM con-tents but freezes the oscillator, disabling all other chip functions until the next interrupt
