Video Streaming In VANET’S

[attachment=22098]

Streaming applications will rapidly develop and contribute a significant amount of traffic in the near future. A problem, scarcely addressed so far, is how to distribute video streaming traffic from one source to all nodes in an urban vehicular network. This problem significantly differs from previous work on broadcast and multicast in ad hoc networks because of the highly dynamic topology of vehicular networks and the strict delay requirements of streaming applications. We present a solution for intervehicular communications, called Streaming Urban Video (SUV), that 1) is fully distributed and dynamically adapts to topology changes, and 2) leverages the characteristics of streaming applications to yield a highly efficient,

cross-layer solution

IT is commonly acknowledged that Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) are ill-suited to support streaming media traffic. Low bandwidth, fleeting connectivity, and highly dynamic, unpredictable topology are the main shortcomings hindering the support of multimedia applications. The network characteristics, along with the variable bit rate (VBR) nature of the traffic and the strict delay constraints, making no allowance for store-and-forward, pose a different problem from the ones previously addressed in ad hoc networks. Even in the context of VANETs, the literature carries few solutions dealing with channel access and traffic forwarding for the support of streaming media , and the majority of them considers a highway scenario or does not leverage the application characteristics.

Existing System:

Existing system is an only manual system. i.e no streaming of videos only the static resources or videos user can watch. In existing system only videos are present in static format i.e only available videos with user can see. Existing system dose not provide any kind news or any other resource access to user.

Existing system only support the regular networks for streaming of videos. But what if any other client like MANET’ Or VANET’s want to see those videos. Because so many devices dose not have video capacity what about them. For those devices this system is not usefull.

Drawback:

1) Available only in regular network.
2) Not user friendly.
3) Only static videos will be streamed.
4) Not provide any other resource like news, sports or driving directions etc…
5) Not able to provide video streaming in MANET or VANET.

Proposed System:

The propsed system specilly meant for MANET or VANET kind of network which will provide the video streaming in mobile devices also. The proposed system is giving very freindlyness for searching content on web. Any kind of search can done by user ex. Image serach, news, driving direction etc…
The proposed system is able to provide access to videos in user mobile also. This system is very usefull for driver who are new to specific area to get the direction of palces. This system can provide various kind of infoamtion to user.
Advantages:

1) Able to stream videos in MANET and VANET.
2) Able to provide search facility for any resource over web.
3) Able to provide driving direction for driver.
4) Able to get route,map etc…

Modules & Description:
1)Admin:

The is the controlling module for the application and is responsible for serving user needs of data and videos. Admin can add new category to application and in category he can add videos as well as news or some important link’s which lattter user can refer and read the content from the give url’s.
Can I get screen shorts or source code for this project?
