DETECTION OF LOST MOBILE USING SNIFFER

INTRODUCTION
Even though the mobile technology rapidly increases every day, but it is not yet answered for the misplaced or lost mobiles.
So this paper is going to discuss the problem and probable solution for this.
What is IMEI
It is a 15 digit unique code and is embedded in a mobile phones to identify the GSM/DCS/PCS phones.
The main purpose of IMEI number is to prevent the calls that is made by the unauthorized person once the mobile is reported as stolen.
But here the IMEI number is also used for the purpose of detection
SNIFFER BASE STATION
The sniffer is a small base station, it includes transceiver section. It should operate at a frequency that is much different from the frequency of the current cell in which the operation of detection is being carried out.
So in order to generate that frequency base station contains one oscillatory circuit.
UNIDIRECTIONAL ANTENNA
Antenna is a device which works at specified
frequency ranges for transmitting or receiving the
data signals.
In general these antennas transmit power depending
on lobe pattern which varies from one antenna to the
other.
In addition to this Gain and Directivity are intimately
related in antennas
