. Introduction
In this highly developing society; time and man power are critical constrains for completion of task in large scales. the automation is playing important role to save human efforts in most of the regular and frequently carried works e.g. most of the industrial jobs like welding, painting, assembly, container filling etc. one of the major and most commonly performed work is picking and placing of jobs from source to destination. “Pick and place robot” may be used for this purpose.
The pick and place robot is a microcontroller based mechatronic system that picks the object from source location and places at desired location. Touch sensors are used which detect position of Pick point and place point. As soon as robot senses the touch point it performs the respective action (pick


Block Diagram Description:

I] Microcontroller: Microcontroller is the CPU of this project.
II] DRIVER CIRCUIT:
We need to drive the DC Motors. For this purpose we need to provide 12 volt supply to motor. Motor driver IC is used for this purpose. We are going to use L293D as a motor driver IC.

KEYPAD:

Keypad is provided to set the initial position of the Robot. It has four keys. 2 for the vertical motor and rest 2 are for Gripper motor.
IV] LCD Display:
LCD Display is used to display various messages
V] TOUCH SENSORS:
Touch sensors are used to detect the position of Robot. This will help to decide the pick and place point.

3. In Automobile Industry.
