FECG EXTRACTION FROM COMPOSITE MATERNAL ECG

INTRODUCTION
*The aim is to present the method for automated extraction of FHR from the composite maternal ECG.
*The method employs complex wavelets,complex valued wavlet modulus maxima.
*FECG is a non-invasive method for monitoring the electrical activity of fetus heart
*The presence of noise deteriorates the signal’s quality
*MECG characteristics that influence the composite ECG signal are:
a)its spectra signals overlaps with that of fetus.
b)its energy is estimated to be more than 75% of total signal.
COMPLEX CWT
* Produces excellent results in mapping the
changing properties of non-stationary signals
* An ideal tool for determining whether or not a signal is
Stationary in a global sense.
* Used to identify stationary sections of the
data stream and locate and characterize singularities
