INTRODUCTION
The matrimony portal is complete package for making your marriage. Here any one can register on our portal, upload there photos. Every registered user get their own account in which they are able to update their profile, viewing response to them, delete their account and change password.
The unregistered user can also easily interact with portal. They can search bride or groom without registration. Here we provide the simple search and advance search facilities. User can search bride or groom by city or by education or by profession. Find your search according to your way.
We try to develop a portal that helps every parent to find perfect match for their daughter or son. By sitting at one place you search bride or groom and if you like them then within a second you send your response to them. So, we provide a secure way for finding perfect matches for you.
The Software is for the automation of Matrimonial portal Management system.
The software includes:-
• Login facilities with mail verification.
• Password change facilities.
• User creates their own account.
• User account feature with update profile and view response.
• Portal should be user friendly.
Need of the project:
The online matrimonial websites have divisions according to caste, religion, language, age, occupation, city, income, etc. Different Indian matrimonial sites are available online to give users the chance to come in contact with members from different localities & communities. These matrimonial sites offer chatting facility so that prospective brides & grooms can share their feeling with each other. The matrimonial sites completely eliminate the possible involvement of any marriage broker or matrimonial agent in the match making procedure.
Literature survey:
Web portals are sites on the World Wide Web that typically provide personalized capabilities to their visitors. They are designed to use distributed applications, different numbers and types of middleware and hardware to provide services from a number of different sources. In addition, business portals are designed to share collaboration in workplaces. A further business-driven requirement of portals is that the content be able to work on multiple platforms such as personal computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and cell phones. The Web portal gained special attention because it was, for many users, the starting point of their Web browser. Many of the portals started initially as either Internet directories (notably Yahoo!) and/or search engines (Excite, Lycos, AltaVista, infoseek, and Hotbot among the old ones). The expansion of service provision occurred as a strategy to secure the user-base and lengthen the time a user stays on the portal. Services which require user registration such as free email, customization features, and chat rooms were considered to enhance repeat use of the portal.
PROBLEM DEFINATION AND SCOPE
Problem Statement:
Conducting a wedding ceremony is not an easy task; it is actually having a bundle of tasks that need to be settled. Starting from choosing the right caterers, wedding dress, inviting guest According to opinions of the villagers, it is quite difficult to complete these entire tasks. Things are also become worse when the houses in the village are far apart. And it is difficult to invite other villagers from a house to another. Even though there are some marriages portals exist in the Internet, most of them provide too many information including information that is not needed such as list of caterers and boutiques in the different states.
Based on the reviews, currently, existing marriage portal do not provide a convenient and understandable interfaces or links for non-IT literate or for beginners in IT. This situation creates the difficulties and discourages non-IT literate users like the villagers to learn and use IT.
Goals and objective:
The goal and objective of this document is to describe the design of the project named ONLINE MATRIMONIAL SYSTEM .The purpose of design documentation is to express the vision for the project, describe the contents, and present a plan for implementation.

The scope of this document is to design all the functionality which is provided by the project.
