Electronic taxi booking nationwide
Objective/ Aim:
Electronic taxi booking nationwide with myTaxi app is revolutionizing the taxi industry with the online taxi booking service directly integrated into taxi dispatch systems. This application will need to access the user GPS. It find taxis based on the location and book a taxi in a few quick taps. We can also track the arrival of taxi through dispatch updates and a map view. The system have the simple billing system which includes charging driver per transaction.
Innovativeness & Usefulness:
1. Web portal for booking so people can submit their request online.
2. Iphone and android app for booking which will get the address and send the request to the system.
3. Iphone and android app for taxi driver which allow him to get the job and accept it or decline it with map instructions to navigate to destinations.
4. Web service which receive requests from iphone, android and web portal and then it automatically dispatch the requests to the nearest driver if he decline it automatically re-dispatch the request.
5. Admin web portal to add drivers
The system have a simple billing system which includes charging driver per transaction

myTaxi pinpoints the passenger‘s current location and the request is sent to the nearest taxi. Further options, such as Payment via Card or Eco Taxi can be selected. The passenger can track the taxi‘s arrival on the map. The drivers details are displayed such as picture, name, rating, time of arrival and distance. After the journey, passengers can rate their driver.
2) Driver
Taxi drivers within the immediate vicinity of a passenger receive a request on their smart phones. The passenger‘s location is shown on the display. The journey gets the taxi driver with the shortest distance to the passenger. Further passenger requirements will be regarded such as Eco-Taxi, amount of passengers. Once the driver accepts the request, the passenger and driver can follow the drive on the map showing the exact time of arrival and distance.
