Abstract
This project is an attempt to develop a centralized linux based administrative tool to monitor the processes being run by various users in a multi-user networked environment similar the one in the NITC Main Computer Center. The software will allow the administrator of the computer network to selectively terminate a process of a particular user. It will also log the user ids of users who are using a particular application (Chat clients, instant messengers etc.) chosen by the administrator. An optional future improvement could be to include a mechanism to take screenshots of the users using the restricted programs and store them for the administrator to review later
