DESIGN OF CONVOLUTION ENCODER WITH VITERBI DECODER

ABSTRACT:
Convolution encoding is considered one of the FEC schemes and Viterbi decoding is the best known implementations of the maximum likely-hood decoding.
These are practically suited to channel in which the transmitted signal is corrupted by noise.
In this Project, the design and implementation of Convolution encoder with constraint length 3 and rate 1/2, and Viterbi decoder in VHDL
CONCLUSION:
Up to our project we did successful encode & decode system using a universal encoder – CONVOLUTION ENCODER and an automatic error corrector – VITERBI DECODER
………….. presenting you a satisfied simulating results which realizes our project to be a partial applicable to practical applications.
By implementing this code on FPGA or CPLD we have a handed ENCODER for a transmitter & a DECODER for a receiver for wireless communication….
