TISSUE ENGINEERING:


Defination:Tissue engineering, is "an interdisciplinary field that applies the principles of engineering and life sciences toward the development of biological substitutes that restore, maintain, or improve tissue function or a whole organ".Tissue engineering has also been defined as "understanding the principles of tissue growth, and applying this to produce functional replacement tissue for clinical use.


GENETIC ENGINEERING:



Defination:Genetic engineering, also called genetic modification, is the direct human manipulation of an organism's genetic material in a way that does not occur under natural conditions. It involves the use of recombinant DNA techniques, but does not include traditional animal and plant breeding or mutagenesis.



ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHIC ENGINEERING:


Defination: This branch of engineering can be simply defined as the application of electronics engineering and communication engineering for enhancing the quality of human life.
Engineers have developed a 12-lead simulator which can be used as a standard signal generator for testing ECG (electrocardiogram) analysis systems.
