Automatic Long Term EMF Measurement System

[attachment=28992]
1992 Germany introduced the so-called „site procedure“
calculated evaluation of emissions from radio transmitters
relevant for transmitter having an EIRP equal or greater 10 W
covered frequency range „9 kHZ -300 GHz“
Since 1992 additional to the „site procedure“ three nationwide measurement campaigns were made across Germany by technical staff from the Federal Network Agency
Alongside the site procedure the measurements ensures the protection of persons exposed to electromagnetic fields
Often the wish for an „automated measurement System“ arised

in 2007 the Federal Network Agency introduced 12 piece portable „automated measurement system“
the system is carrying out, frequency - selektiv measurements in the range from 9 KHz – 3 GHz
the distributed „ draft Technical Report, gives detailed information about the „Automatic Long Term Measurement System“
Since EMF measurements provide the facts necessary to discuss the potential dangers of radio broadcasts with the public, they are an integral part of risk communication. Conventional measures in situ only cover the situation at this time. Signal weighting is also difficult because some radio signals are only transmitted for a short period of time and because advanced technologies make use of adaptive power and control of the radiation pattern. Such problems are solved by automatic and continuous control of typical or critical measuring points, which provide conclusive results. This approach involves standard compliance monitoring across the entire frequency range, where individual electromagnetic emissions are assigned at exact frequencies.

The ¸EMF monitor is robust, reliable and accurate. As a standalone test station, it accurately and perfectly detects electromagnetic emissions in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 3 GHz specified by many EMF standards. Wide dynamic range covers strong and weak signals. The frequency selection field strength measurement does not depend on the angle of incidence and polarization, and covers everything from analog modulated signals to digital broadband pulsed or radar signals. Measurement and signal analysis are controlled by the proven and tested ¸RFEX EMF measurement software. This software allows accurate detection, assignment and evaluation of electromagnetic emissions according to applicable regulations (eg RegTP MV 09 / EMF / 3 in the case of the German monitoring network). At the same time, the measurement can be configured to other standards or specific measurement tasks by remote control. The results of the measurement are automatically transmitted to a server and, in Germany, for example, are made available to the public via the Internet.
