VOICE SECURITY SYSTEM- A BIOMETRIC TECHNOLOGY

INTRODUCTION
Vss is innovative method to reduce fraud and ensures ones property from use ,if stolen or found fraudulently.
Uses biometric technology.
‘Bio’ means life and ‘Metric’ means measure hence biometric means study of life.
As computer system has become a part of our daily lives hence we can rely on them for the applications for security purpose.
For these applications we have to prove our identity for authentication.
This authentication is based upon three things- possession, knowledge and characteristics.
Advantages of biometric system
Person should be physically present at the point of verification
Eliminates the requirement to remember password or carry token.
Voice is an non-invasive verification method.
Password can be shared or predicated and token can be forged, stolen or lost.
How does voice biometric work?
Each voice print are stored in a table.
Each dominant frequency of a segment are expressed in terms of binary numbers.
They are stored in columns. Whenever a person speaks the column is read from bottom to top as a long binary code.
Then they are compared with the persons passphrase.
whenever a person tries to access the protected data his voice is compared with the previously stored voice prints.
Inserting voice security system
User inserts his voice through the microphone which is converted through a ANALOG DIGITAL CONVERTER(ADC).
Then it is stored onto the embedded processor.
Embedded processor converts into template.
The templates are compared with previously stored template.
If match then allow the user to access the product
