WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
[attachment=31814]
Introduction
in 1895, Marconi opened the way for modern wireless communication by transmitting the three dot Morse code for the letter’s’ over a distance of three kilometers using electromagnetic waves
. From this beginning ,wireless communication has developed into a key element of modern society. It has captured the attention of the media and imagination of the public. Cellular systems have experienced exponentional growth over the last decade and there are currently world wide.
Wireless communication is the transfer of information over a distance without the use of electrical conductors or “wires”. the distances involved may be short(a few meters as in television remote control) or very long(thousands or even millions of kilometers for radio communications).when the context is clear the term is often simply shortened to “wireless”. wireless communication is generally considered to be a branch of telecommunications. It encompasses various types of fixed, mobile and portable two way radios, cellular telephones personal digital assistants(PDAs),and wireless networking. Other examples of wireless technology include GPS units, garage door openers and or garage doors wireless computer mice keyboards and headsets satellite television and cordless telephones.
History of wireless communication
The first wireless networks were developed in the pre- industrial age. These system transmitted information over line –of- sight distances using smoke signals, torch signaling ,flashing mirrors, signal flares or semaphore flags.
Vision
The vision of wireless communication supporting information exchange between people or device is the communication frontier of the next few decades and much of it already exists in some form. This vision will allow multimedia communication from any where in the world using a small handheld device or laptop .
Wireless solution
wireless broadband solution address the distinctive need of private networks of all types from small enterprises large corporations ,government and municipalities, utility companies, educational and financial institutions.
